In any case, only thing that can be done is to wait for more information. Kind of wish that the reboot was in Agents of Mayhem's supervillain-on-supervillain setting, but I suspect I'm in the minority on that one. Otherwise, I don't feel particularly strongly on the matter. To some extent, I think that's because Saints Row 2 had better storytelling compared to either 3 or 4. As far as I'm concerned, best Gat was Saints Row 2 Gat, who was a lot less hyped-up than in subsequent titles but had a bit more narrative substance to him. An occasional change of setting is good as far as I'm concerned.Ĭharacter-wise, I have more mixed feelings. And Steelport was fine, though overused because if I'm remembering right, the Saints Row series got hit hard by THQ THQing towards the end.
The change of setting doesn't bug me that much. Ultimately, I'm in as long as I get to run around in a ridiculous costume with a ridiculous weapon while running around in a semi-ridiculous setting.
