It might show your desktop for a second, but then a (usually) altered menu should pop up. Click on MODS and select the mod you want to load, and click Launch. Otherwise, run it, it might take a minute. If it asks for your Operating system (such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7) I would reccommend not running it, as they tend to carry malware (I speak from experience). You can head to websites like Zombie Modding (my favorite), ugx mods, Zommods, etc. You want to make a new folder and label it "mods" (Without the quotations.) It must be spelled exactly like that or it won't work. If you are not on steam it should be in Users > (Whatever your user name is) > AppData > Local > Activision > Call of Duty World at War. If you are on steam it should be in Program Files (86x) > Steam > steamapps > common > Call of Duty World at War. The first thing (after installing WAW and making sure it's patched to the latest version) is to open up your file explorer and head to the install folder of the game.
